Environment
The local add-in targets Windows x64 and SolidWorks 2025, using .NET Framework 4.8 and WebView2. Development also needs the Node.js, Bun and build tools specified in the repository README.
Install from a maintainer-provided package or follow the source build instructions. This website does not provide a public installer download or an online CAD editor.
Begin a task
- Start SolidWorks with the registered Chippo add-in and open its sidebar.
- Complete enterprise sign-in, or use the model service configured by your maintainer where applicable. Enter credentials only in the sign-in interface.
- Select the CAD project directory from the Project menu.
- Open the target file and check the displayed document, configuration and edit target.
- Start with a concrete request, such as reading a dimension and explaining its related feature, before proceeding to changes.
Describe the work
Specify the target, parameters, units, allowed scope, whether to save, and acceptance checks. For physical constraints, include loads, materials, operating conditions and sources.
A first attempt is not acceptance. Validate unfamiliar workflows on a trusted test copy.
